Following the partial construction of large scale mosque in South East Queensland, the society faced financial constraints in moving the project forward. desypher was approached to determine how the project could gain momentum; revitalising the centre both as an architectural piece and transforming what could otherwise be a static building into a buzzing community hub.

Utilising the existing structure, we proposed an innovative, multi-purpose roof top terrace which responded to the needs of the community and the local climate. By rearranging the internal spaces, the centre was transformed into a multi-functional space, providing opportunities for various activities that would contribute to the long term use of the centre.

Unfortunately, the Society felt tied down by their commitment to the existing plan and did not move forward with the proposal.
