Journey Home was the story of Malak, a young girl born without ears from Gaza. Through the Towards Hope Foundation Malak was flown to Melbourne for a series of operations to give her hearing and bionic ears.
Over a period of nine months, Ahmad documented her story; taking the journey home with Malak in October 2012 as she returned to her family. The result was a deeply moving photo documentary providing an insight into the life of little Malak.
